HOW LONG IS LONG ENOUGH WHEN BRUSHING?

Many people question how long they should take when brushing their teeth. Answers can vary, but the Academy of General Dentistry suggests, in their website (www.agd.org), that the average person brush for 2 minutes per day or 14 minutes per week. Mathematically this would mean that one brush approximately 12 hours per year. The AGD suggests that the average person should brush 6 minutes per day or 46 minutes per week which would equal approximately 36.4 hours per year.

If you brush 2 times per day, that would mean you should brush for at least 3 minutes each time.
