Snoring & Sleep Apnea
According to medical researchers, 50 percent of men and 30 percent of
women snore. Snoring usually worsens as we get older. Snoring can also
be an early warning sign for the dangerous medical condition known as
Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
Some of the most common signs of sleep apnea are heavy snoring, excessive
daytime sleepiness, nighttime choking or gasping, and nighttime reflux.
There is strong evidence that heavy snoring and sleep apnea can cause
hypertension, memory deficits, decreased sexual functioning, difficulty
concentrating and personality changes.
