Flossing and Your Real Age
Dr. Michael F. Roizen, a preventive gerontologist at the University of
Chicago, along with other scientists, have found that flossing one's teeth
regularly, can have a huge effect on one's age. In his system, called
RealAge, it is said that flossing regularly can increase a person's life
expectancy by six years. The reason is that if bacteria that causes periodontal
disease is allowed to build up, it can trigger an immune reaction which
can cause your arteries to age. More information on this can be found
at Dr. Roizen's site at www.realage.com.
